NANCY DELSON, DIRECTOR OF THE ESE FUND, RETIRES

Director of the Eastern States Exposition (ESE) Fund, Nancy Delson, has announced her retirement.

During her tenure at ESE, Delson created a comprehensive fundraising database and raised awareness amongst trustees, donors and other stakeholders about the importance of sustaining the organization’s mission. She helped to streamline the transition when the organization elected to absorb the then separate Foundation, and it became a department known instead as the ESE Fund. Delson also attended listless legislative and community events as a representative, consistently garnering support for the not-for-profit frontrunner in education, agriculture, entertainment and industry.

“ESE is enormously important in the world of agriculture and beyond, and [it] contributes greatly to the overall quality of life in New England,” Delson said. She then continued, “I will always feel a strong connection to this wonderful organization.”

In his parting sentiments, ESE President and CEO Gene Cassidy stated, “I am so grateful to Nancy for her dedication to this organization and its mission. She has made great strides to set a framework for the future.” Cassidy emphasized that her communication of ESE’s importance to elected officials has been paramount to the success of the overall company.

Delson joined ESE as the director of what was then the ESE Foundation in June of 2017. Ever the philanthropist, her previous places of employment included the Sisters of St. Joseph, Springfield Jewish Community Center, Smith College, Bay Path University and the University of California, Los Angeles.

“Over the course of my career, I have helped raise more than 30 million dollars for a variety of meaningful causes. I am particularly grateful that I was able to wrap up my career with this position at ESE,” Delson concluded.
