Mackenzie Coburn Promoted to Sponsorship Sales Manager
Mackenzie Coburn, of Colrain, Mass., has been promoted to Eastern States Exposition’s (ESE) Sponsorship Sales Manager. In this role, she will craft and tailor proposals, negotiate contracts, collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless activation and execution, maintain relationships with current sponsors while identifying opportunities for expansion and foster community partnerships while exploring innovative avenues to enhance engagement.
Coburn earned her bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in public relations from Westfield State University in May of 2019. In June of the same year, Coburn started her career at ESE as a marketing intern.
She became a fulltime employee when she accepted a position as brand marketing coordinator, and her responsibilities included overseeing website redesigns, rebranding The Big E’s food competition and refreshing the sponsorship program. In July of 2022, Coburn was promoted to sales innovation manager. In this role, she reestablished the organization’s internship program, developed a brand style guide and curated a local brewers showcase.
Coburn became an International Association of Fairs and Expos (IAFE) Ambassador in February of 2023, completed the Institute of Fair Management (IFM) graduate certificate program in November of 2023 and was selected as the IAFE’s Chair of the Sponsorship Committee for the 2025-2026 term.
Her experience at ESE and dedication to the fair industry have made Coburn uniquely qualified for the sponsorship sales manager position.
“I am honored to step into the role of sponsorship sales manager at Eastern States Exposition,” shared Coburn. “This is an exciting opportunity to continue working with a team and community I truly value while building partnerships that make a difference.”
