Show your Big E and West Side pride by wearing accessories fashioned from the official fabric of the Eastern States – West Springfield Tartan now available at The Shops at Storrowton. The colorful wool tartan finely weaves together shades of blue, purple, yellow, green and red in a nod to the West Springfield community and the flags of the six New England states. The fabric, created especially for the 2016 Eastern States Exposition Centennial, also reflects upon the 100-year history of the Exposition.
The textile was designed and developed in Scotland through the instrumental assistance and determination of West Springfield resident Gerry Healy. The material is internationally recognized by the Scottish Register of Tartans (certificate #11459) and a swatch is archived for permanent preservation in the National Records of Scotland.
Proceeds will benefit the Eastern States Exposition Foundation, a not-for-profit public charity that supports the Eastern States Exposition’s agricultural and educational programming and historic preservation efforts. Products made from the tartan fabric are exclusively sold at the Storrowton Village Gift Shop.
