Eastern States Exposition commemorates its 100th anniversary with a hard cover, pictorial book that covers the rich history of the Exposition. Chapters take readers through the decades, with highlights on ESE’s founding, the creation of Storrowton Village, hockey in the Coliseum, horse and automobile racing, notable entertainers, natural disasters and more.
“Eastern States Exposition Centennial: A Century of Fun at The Big E” is authored by Wayne Phaneuf, executive editor of The Republican in Springfield, Massachusetts. The book is part of the newspaper’s Heritage Series and is the first book written in partnership with another organization.
