Preparing and spinning locks is a low tech but highly satisfying way to work (play!) with fleece. In this workshop we will prepare locks of various breed types by flicking and combing using inexpensive hand tools and spin. We will discuss when and why to choose which methods of preparation.
Materials
Fee: $15
The fee covers all fiber and wool prep tools. Including 4 oz. of washed wool locks from various breeds, handouts and folder.
Students should bring a wheel in good working conditional with an empty bobbin. Also appropriate for hand spindles. All tools are supplied (feel free to bring any you may already own).
